Recently. Shark Tank star and billionaire Mark Cuban wrote on Twitter: "Just got a front row seat to watch @HillaryClinton overwhelm @realDonaldTrump at the "Humbling at Hofstra" on Monday. It Is On !" Today Donald Trump wrote the following on Twitter: "If dopey Mark Cuban of failed Benefactor fame wants to sit in the front row, perhaps I will put Gennifer Flowers right alongside of him!" Within hours Gennifer Flowers tweeted the following: "Hi Donald. You know I'm in your corner and will definitely be at the debate!" After a week of polls showing Donald Trump winning across the country, the media tried to reignite an old issue to try to stop the Trump momentum. The media tried to bring up the Birther issue again, hoping it will derail the Trump campaign. However Donald Trump responded and took the wind right out of their sail. To win the White House first Donald Trump must win all the states that Mitt Romney won in 2012. The map below shows the states that Romney won.
Donald Trump must then win Ohio and Florida. Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania although very much in play this election, they have a record of voting for the Democrat Presidential candidate and have not voted for a Republican in decades. Recent polling does show Donald Trump only down by a few percent in those three states.
The latest polls from Nevada, Colorado and Iowa all show Donald Trump is ahead of Hillary Clinton. Trump taking those three states will put Donald Trump at 275 which is 5 above 270 the minimum required of electoral votes to win the Presidency. We also give Trump one electoral vote from maine because the latest polls show Trump winning in Maine's 2nd Congressional district which gives allocates one electoral vote to the winner of the popular vote in the 2md Congressional district.
The outcomes in the two remaining states of New Hampshire and Virginia would not matter if my prediction above is correct. As it stands right now Hillary is ahead of Donald Trump in New Hampshire and in Virginia so we put both of those states in her column.
The latest polls from the swing state of Colorado, Iowa, Florida, Ohio, and Nevada show Donald Trump is surging. In Colorado, the Emerson poll has Donald Trump with a 4% lead in a four way race. Donald Trump gets 42%, Hillary Clinton gets 38%, Gary Johnson gets 13%, and Jill Stein gets 3%. Throughout August the RCP average consistently showed Hillary with a 10% lead. That lead has now evaporated. In Iowa, the Monmouth has Donald Trump with an 8% lead in a four way race. Donald Trump receives 45%, Hillary Clinton is at 37%, Gary Johnson at 8% and Jill Stein at 2%. In Florida, a few polls were released that all showed Donald Trump surging in this state.
In Ohio, a bunch of poll now show Donald Trump with a commanding lead.
In Nevada, Monmouth poll has Trump 44%, Clinton 42%, Johnson 8%. Donald Trump is also putting liberal states like Michigan and Maine in play this election cycle. Michigan and Maine have not voted for a Republican Presidential candidate in decades.
