Donald Trump has basically wrapped up the Republican nomination. Within a few weeks Donald Trump will officially be named the presumptive nominee. With Ted Cruz doing the unprecedented move of picking a Vice Presidential candidate after losing six states in a row and being mathematically eliminated from the nomination the question now becomes who will be Donald Trump's Vice President.
I expect Donald Trump not to pick a Vice Presidential nominee until after he officially becomes the nominee. I also expect Ted Cruz to pick a cabinet after he loses a few more primaries. Thats a joke. Below is a list of possible Vice Presidential candidates. There has been a push that Trump should pick a female as his Vice President. The reasoning for this would be first off to combat Hillary Clinton and her woman card. Second reason is Trump polls poorly with women. Those possible candidates would be Joni Ernst, Kelly Ayotte, Marsha Blackburn, Susana Martinez, Marly Fallin, Nikki Haley and Condoleezza Rice. Others say Donald Trump should pick a minority to be his Vice President. Those possible candidates would be Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, Brian Sandoval, Susana Martinez, Condoleezza Rice and Ben Carson. Personally speaking I do not think we should focus on picking a Vice President to gain a demographic. The best qualified person should be selected Vice President. Whenever someone is picked purely based off of getting a voter block that candidate is usually not ready for the job. Members of Congress:
